is an independent design, editorial, and research studio led by Jarrett Fuller. Our work takes shape across a variety of media, from books and websites to podcasts and installations and we work with clients large and small, around the world.

In addition to client work, we also produce experimental work, research projects, and original content, including Scratching the Surface, a weekly design criticism podcast;, an online archive of canonical graphic design texts; and other books and speculative projects.

Graphic Design Readings is an online library of canonical and recommended texts on graphic design and related fields. We designed, built, and curated the site, which is tagged and sortable, and contains books, PDFs, and online links.

Year 2017

As an educator, Jarrett constantly found himself recommending various texts and books to his students based on their research. Instead of continually sending PDFs and links individually, this site became a hub you can direct students to, while also becoming an library for independent research.
